
Also found the jester to actually be quite useful in the darkest dungeon since things do so much stress damage there. I was sad I only had one at the end since you can only use each party member once in a successful darkest dungeon mission. Just cycle retribution and defender and you can prolong any fight while also doing crazy counter attack damage. I like helion for normal dungeons but after taking the man at arms into the darkest dungeon I found out how much he excels in the harder fights. Or having a party where everyone can self heal can be great, no dedicated healer means more constant damage output. If you surprise the enemy you try and hit with as many multi hits as possible and kil 2 or 3 of the enemy before they can react.

this is a good movement party where you constantly reposition guys to do different attacks - point blank shot, lunge/shadow fade, solo & holy lance.īright runs with characters that can hit multiple targets at once (highway man, hellion, crusader, jester, leper etc) can be fun. Give the crusader holy lance so he can move back into position if ends up in position 3. Three of the characters can reposition and the vestal can attack from most positions if you give her the right skills. I also like Vestal, Jester, grave robber, highwayman/crusader.

It's not great if you get shuffled though, except fo the houndmaster who can attack from most positions. No stress reduction (except for houndmaster) so you want to maximise damage output to end fights quickly. It's a good party to attack the back rows, it can shuffle, stun & bleed and three of the characters have heals. No tank, but they can all mark and 3 can make use of the mark to boost damage. Arbalest, Occultist, Houndmaster and Bounty Hunter.
